Chiropractic...

Chiropractic is the leading form of natural health care in the U.S. Dr. Wolfe attended Logan University in St. Louis, the best and most balanced education available in this field. He uses a variety of techniques, ranging from low force to more traditional adjusting. The objective in all chiropractic techniques is to correct subluxation, or misalignment of the spinal vertebrae, in order to restore optimal nerve/energy flow, which positively affects all internal functions, and reduces pain and inflammation. Dr. Wolfe works with soft tissue surrounding the problem area to help facilitate easier, more painless correction. The doctor is also well-versed in extremity problem and adjusting, and often use Kinesio-Tape to help stabilize extremity injuries.

Physiotherapy...

We have several forms of adjuctive therapies available to help speed recovery and reduce pain faster, such as therapeutic ultrasound, interferential stimulation, steam packs, ice packs, diathermy, intersegmental traction (roller table), the Acuscope and Laser Light Therapy. We believe in using any adjunct that will help our patients back to pain-free health faster!

Acupuncture...

This 5000 year old healing art began in China, and first made its way to the US in the early 70's, after President Nixon opened relations back up with China in 1972. Dr. Wolfe first learned how to perform acupuncture in 1976 from Japanese Master Muramoto, and has been using it ever since.

It can be used to treat a myriad of problems, most notable among them is chronic pain. This makes it a natural partner with chiropractic for treating such conditions as back and neck pain and headaches. but Dr. Wolfe has also had great success with smoking cessation and easing and speeding up labor at birth for women.

Dr. Wolfe has been using acupuncture for over 33 years, and can treat a myriad of problems with this ancient healing art. He often incorporate acup-therapy with chiropractic to get the best and fastest results. He will often use the Acuscope, a computerized elctro-acupuncture machine that can often help produce miraculous results without using needles.

Auriculotherapy.....

Also used for thousands of years, the ear contains points affecting every part of the body. Dr. Wolfe stimulates these points to help many health and pain problems, and also for smoking and drug addiction, which respond quite well to this approach.

Laser Light...

Therapeutic Laser is one of the most promising new forms of therapy for injuries, cuts, abrasions, bruises and chronic pain. Both visible and invisible red light has been shown effective in reducing inflammation and increasing circulation and new tissue formation. Having this available in our clinic has been a great asset for our patients, and is perfect adjunct for many types of conditions and injuries.

X-ray...

We have the capability to take our own spinal x-rays, eliminating the hassel of our patients having to go to the hospital or medical clinic for them, and at much less expense. The training our Dr's receive in radiography is very complete, taking several hundred hours during their college education, similar to that of a medical radiologist.

Nutrition...

Our clinic has a fairly complete apothecary, including Standard Process, Doctor's Pride, Dragon River Herbals, and Douglas Labs. With their training in nutritional therapies, our docs can help many problems naturally, without the side effects and toxicity of prescription medicines. They can also help patients with cleansing purification programs to help rid the body of many toxins lodged in the liver, kidneys and other body tissues.

Custom Orthotics...

We at Durango Chiropractic use Foot Levelers custom orthotics, the best available orthotic in the world. Foot Levelers has been around for over 50 years, and has led the way in innovation and comfort in custom orthotics. The feet are very important in correcting all body/spinal distortion, as they are at the foundation of the system. We use Foot Leveler's Digital Scanner to analyze your feet in a standing position, along with our observation of ankle disortion, pronation, etc. The attached computer sends the images to the factory back east, and they convert it to a 3D image for precise correction.

The technology available in their orthotics is amazing, with high-tech jells for shock absorption, top cover materials designed to absorb moisture and regulate temperature, and many other features and options. They are flexible and support all 3 arches and the heel, not just the main arch. These can help tremendously for plantar fascitis and heel pain, along with helping your adjustments hold better and longer!
